Foggy Mountain Breakdown

The gray area to the right under the cloud is water which the cloud has bled of color.
Interesting phenomenon I only noticed after looking at the image in the camera.

Very nice image, jp. Like Helen, I think I'd miss fog - after maybe 10 years ;-)
That's a very curious effect - the grey water. Then, I guess the water can only reflect the color of whatever is directly above it.

Thanks Helen. I didn't know your were a San Franciscan. I lived there for 20 years. Port Townsend, WA has many similarities.

Frank, LOL, it's supposed to be simulating a window, though my windows are proportionally longer.

Reminds me of the fog in my hometown of San Francisco; people never understand, but I love the fog and really miss it! Beautifully captured scene.
