Nice work, jp! I like the enhanced saturation and the removal of the weeds or reeds at the bottom of the frame. Great improvement, IMHO.

Yup, I very much agree with this. The colors are on the way to be extreme, but you have worked out the different shades of green/brown perfectly. What I would suggest is an inner border, very thin black line (1 pixel) to make the difference to the border more clear. But this is definetly a very personal preference of mine as you can see from my images. :-)
