Morning Has Broken I
8th Place
by Franky2005

Finally I like both versions (color and bw).
Color is now in the demo: http://www.pbase.com/stfchallenge/image/108017328

Still intgerested to know your thoughts on this as I have decided to leave the b/w here. Also related to my 2009 goal to go a bit more into b/w.

Great capture - I like the black/white, but I think I like the color one a little bit better.

Frank, I like them both too. If I had to choose one, it might be the color version; but it's very, very close for me. Great POV, good lighting, and a nice sky to match...well taken and processed! MFC

Very nicely done, Frank. I'd have to say I loved the sky in the color one, but then I'm not a big fan of B&W anyway, although I'm starting to appreciate it a bit more with what I've seen you do.

I like both shots a lot but I far prefer this one. To me it demonstrates how distracting color is & how powerfully bw gets the visual message across. Color (imo) is *pretty* while bw is *direct*.

Lovely light on this scene, Frank! Well done!
