04-APR-2008 Arn

Mr P.
by Arn

...and in the reflection, your's truly. Sitting at a cafeteria, as you can see. A sharp eye can just spot the remnants of a donut and half a cup of coffee.

This is one of my many pics that just happen while moving from point a to point b or as it happened, while stopping for a cup of coffee while on the way from point a to point b... I like to take photos "on the go", i.e. snapshots very much. Capturing a photographic opportunity as it is representing itself. This day I saw the opportunity of light, backround, shades and expression combined and snapped a pic with my compact camera. I feel that I was lucky to get enough of the elements here to form a working photograph and I was especially happy about capturing the unposed expression. I think that often requires quick reflexes and luck in photography...

Very cool shot - I love the reflections in the sunglasses!

Very nice portrait, Arn...I also love the candid expression here and the reflected elements in the glasses. Two portraits in one...nice work! Nice lighting too...works great in B&W. Arn, I too will be trying some compact photography soon...I think I'm getting a Panasonic LX3 for Christmas. The camera's form factor allows for better photography "on the go" as you put it. Great shot here! MFC
