9th Place (tie)
Coffee Corner

Washington state must have thousands of small drive-thru espresso shacks of every shape & size
spread out on main & back roads, often tacked onto gas stations in the middle of nowhere.

Very cute little coffee shop - I love the sign that says it's open till 5:30 at least!

I agree with Frank, it does look like a gingerbread house. Wish we were there having coffee with you and S-A. Love the "grounds" sign upside down.

To me it looks like a modern gingerbread house. You could develop a few stories. Great find and shot, jp!

Thanks, John. I get sleepy behind the wheel, too. I find that stopping & shooting these places wakes me up more than the coffee. ;)

Fascinating cultural observation and way cool small building. I bet the coffee is good too. I feel sleepy whenever I get behind the wheel of a car, so in Washington, I would drive from shack to shack. (Sunflower seeds help too - you can't sleep while you're eating.)
