3rd place - Reflection in Abstract
by Helen Betts

Washington, D.C.

I've literally had no time to do anything for this challenge, so I took picture of a reflection that I have always been fascinated by and that I see every day. It's my dining room chandelier reflected in an opaque, metallic bowl. Now how silly is that? :-)

Helen, I don't know why you hesitated. This is a really interesting photo. It looks like it's melting. The colors are gorgeous too.

Cool image, Helen. Your bowl is either creating a swirly motion light distortion or you have the latest Salvador Dali chandelier. In any event, it's quite the eyeful.

Wow, thank you inframan and john, I really appreciate the comments! I was quite hesitant to post it here; I even made some of my staff in Istanbul look at it in my galleries to see if they thought I was being foolish :-).

I guess silliness begets beauty. This is wonderful, Helen. What a great idea & image!
