I love the texture, lighting and colors of this!

Jerry, this is an interesting image and you could play well a game on what it it. Not sure whether I should, but I am not too happy with it, but cannot tell really why. Do not get me wrong, it perfectly fits to the challenge, just my feeling that I cannot express. Maybe an off-center composition/framing would work better for me. Need to ruminate about this a bit more...

Karen,
This mushroom was about 5-6 cm in diameter and about 10-15 cm long.
This shot would have been much more difficult without the articulating LCD on the A350. The cam wasn't on the ground - just hanging from my neck a few cms off the ground.

Interesting texture on the mushie, great job of getting down to ground level, and nice non-distracting background. How big was it? Did you put your camera on the ground to shoot? Karen
