The Clematis Terniflora is a climbing vine that can completely overtake its supporting structure in a dense tangle. It will often climb to 25 or 30 feet. It's flowers are white and very fragrant. This is a close-up shot of the seeds, clearly showing the distinguishing long white feathery plumes. Many people feel that the plumes are as showy as the flowers. The seed clusters are actually about one half inch (1.27 cm) across.
