Been meaning to comment before this, too busy, have a few seconds now before work. This caught my eye right away, and as soon as I saw the larger view I noticed the south pole postmark. How neat your wife knows someone down there. My daughter Dara and her husband went to Antartica several years ago and I did a lot of research on the web. I enjoyed the daily web shot one site had and downloaded and printed up oddles of photos to paste in a journal I made for them as a bon voyage gift. They each got a journal. They were using the Mavica FD-91 at the time. it did well. I also made Floppy labels for them using images from Antartica. BTW, the photo's great too! --Dee

For some odd reason I only saw this shot today. The letters are nearly jumping from my monitor. Excellent lighting and composition. Absolutely love it!

I was wondering who'd be the first to notice. That letter was specifically selected for this shot. One of my wife's best friends is stationed down at the research facility. I'm completely jealous. What an experience, but you wouldn't believe the stories.

very well done, Jim and the way it fades into the black of the page makes it even better.

I second the opinion Jim. Very interesting view of "snail" mail. :) Ann

Good idea, Jim...something I would not have thought of. It feels 3-D because of the letter position/detail and the catch of reflective light below the mail slot. I really like it. MFC
