This Challenge was about close-ups both literal and figurative, with entrants invited to use their photographic
skills to capture the things that a casual passer-by could not, or would not, normally see or be aware of. Such
things could range from the tiniest insect or lichen to a centuries-old jewel of craftsmanship out of normal view
in a vaulted ceiling; or it could be the expression of wonder or contemplation on the face of a child or a
Bogart, unnoticed by a world rushing by.
