The pylons are nothing more than 55-gallon drums set atop telephone poles. Three are visible in this shot, along with a shuttle bus for press photographers parked out at the far pylon. We try to work our connections to get a ride out to one of the pylons, but a resurrected Ansel Adams would have a hard time snagging one of the coveted passes; we stand no chance.
