The greenery around Fallon is in stark contrast to the dry sinks and barren ridges all around. You can see NAS Fallon on the other side of town; we're landing instead at Fallon Municipal over on the northest side of town, where landing patterns are flown to the north of the runway to avoid encroaching into military airspace. A few F-14s and F-18s boom past while we refuel.
