This is what the joinery in a properly constructed log house looks like after more than 100 years in service: perfectly servicable. These particular logs are the home of an old friend, Ed Musselman, retired Western Airlines pilot and our host in Lewistown. The structure was built by his late wife's ancestors who proved up on the land in the late 1800s; the ranch sits in a particularly lovely side canyon in the Judith Mountains.
