On the right is a stock downpipe with similar stainless flex brazed to the outside. It is a very clean braze. Both were done by the same shop, but the one on the right by a guy who no longer works there. Not sure what the secret process was which created such a fine one on the right and the sloppy ones on the left--using the same materials.
