A recently excavated site on the shores of the Kinneret.
Thought to be the birthplace of Mary Magdalene (Mary of Magdala).
This is the Synagogue dating from the Second Temple.
In the centre is the famous Magdala Stone. Thought to be for placing the Torah Scroll on when it was being read.
The carvings on it all relate to the Temple including the one of a seven branched Menorah which was unusual for the time.
