M8 ("Lagoon Nebula") and M20 ("Trifid Nebula") in Sagittarius

El Cerrito, CA

The Lagoon Nebula (Messier object #8 or M8) is the large extended object
occupying right half of image.
The much smaller M20 (Trifid Nebula) is at upper left.

SBIG STL 11000 ccd camera, AP 130 @ f/4.5, guided by STV
135 minutes total using 15 minute subs through 7nm Baader
hydrogen alpha filter under full moon, ccd temp:-22C hide exif
