I bend the fuel feed tube away from the fuel level sensor housing so as to make the cutting off of tubing easier...

AND to provide for the clearance needed for the taller 740T pump:

...to keep it from contacting the sensor housing to prevent noise or damage to the sensor that might be induced by the vibrations of the pump running.
