Another reason for going with two hoses from the upper chamber of the separator is that I am utilizing the separator as it was intended: as a separator of oil droplets from the crankcase vapors/blowby. But doing it better and easier by increasing the size of the flow path to allow more flow volume without an increase in the velocity.
