I actually laid the system in three different ways before I got what I wanted. The first cut allowed the intermediate pipe to hook up with the moroso; but the angles were not quite right, and I could not get the clearance I wanted.

After exhausting just about every way to try it in that configuration, I realized that I needed an 'angle pair' to get where I wanted to go. That was when I made the second cut, and used the first cutoff piece to complete the 'angle pair'.
