modding the crash guard

Because I lowered the muffler about 1.5in, I did not have to trim up the crash guard as much as I did for Ted's. I welded in steel strapping to restore the strength of the guard.

You can see the stainless band clamp in front of the fuel tank. I cut the underaxle pipe there in order to be able to "add a bend" to the underaxle pipe. I did not actually "add" a bend; but by being able to rotate the front section of that pipe, I could create a dip in the pipe where it is under the axle.

That band clamp is a Walker MegaClamp, made of 304 stainless, and is very adequate.
