once the shortblock was done, and the cylinder head found and prepped, it was time to get the party started.
I do not install an engine with the cylinder head on. It is easier to just install the shortblock; and I do not like to stress the headbolts or headgasket with the engine's weight. Headbolts have their job to do; and supporting the engine's weight is not in the job description. Some may disagree with that; but I don't really care. I do it my way...and I do not have headgasket problems.
Here, the shortblock is in. I haven't disconnected from the cherrypicker yet: all the bellhousing bolts are not in yet. I keep all openings covered until the appropriate time.
