The Eurasian Collared Dove is a fairly recent addition to the avifauna of the USA, starting from small population in south Florida (which apparently originated from a released population in the Bahamas) and quickly spreading across the USA. Their presence in Idaho is still being studied, and documentation of their occurrence within the state boundaries is solicited by the Idaho Bird Records Committee -- http://www.idahobirds.net.
