One way to distinguish Eurasian Collared-Doves from the captive Ringed Turtle-Dove is by the presence of more distinct white edging to the black neck collar -- visible in this photo. Also, the darker primaries, contrasting with the whiter basal region which separates the browner mantle from the primaries, and overall brownish coloration is helpful.
