ACR Calibrator Testing

Update: These calibration scripts are obsolete since Adobe has released their DNG Profile Editor.

Thomas Fors' ACR Calibrator script can be used to compute camera-specific values for Adobe Camera RAW calibration sliders that minimize the error in the red, green, and blue patches of the X-Rite (Gretag MacBeth) Color Checker.

This gallery compares the color error across the color patches of the Color Checker in various lighting conditions as computed by Norman Koren's Imatest image-analysis software.

The four panels in each image correspond with the color error of:
   1) PhaseOne CaptureOne 4 beta 1 default 300D "Film Standard" conversion,
   2) Adobe Camera RAW default 300D conversion,
   3) ACR Calibrator default calibration for my 300D, and
   4) a modified ACR Calibrator minimizing the color-error across the RGB and CMY color patches.
