The 1D is hardly the natural choice for this kind of shooting, ISO-challenged as it is, but with the right exposure and a bit of software postprocessing it can certainly deliver the goods! But I do love my f/2.8 zooms, especially the old 80-200. It's a bitch to drag around, but ooh - the pictures it can create...

This is a well thought through and neatly constructed gallery. Individually there are a number of well executed and thoughtfully composed photographs. The performance of both your camera and the lenses you chose to use have produced a wonderfully evocative record of the cathedral and its environs. Earlier this year I followed a similar path using a Contax G2 - your gallery makes a strong case for moving away from film to digital .... but its your eye one most admires. Splendid. McQ
