Inside Tibetan monasteries are all sorts of quite strange statues. Some of them are scary as hell; some quite serene. The scary ones are apparently protectors, rather than demons. Tibetan Buddhism strikes me as rather stone-agey, as do most religions, frankly, but Tibetan more so than any I've encountered -- and I live in an Islamic country. These are some of the images i paid good money to photograph.
