I intended to go to a monasery called Sera and for a few days thought I had in fact gone to it, but then i looked at LP and saw that i was not there, but was at a "little visited" monastery up a different hill. I took these pictures inside. The statues in Tibetan monasteries are, to be honest, really,
really
scary. It's a strange sect of Buddhism. It's really mixed with a lot of hocus pocus and weird ass stone age superstition. Which, hey, is cool with me. Whatever works. But some of the statuary is pretty spooky. these are just a couple of them. I paid good money to take these pics. I think 60 Yuan.
