and but then I get there, about a fifty minute ride in 100 degree heat, and it is. It's a big green space, completely surrounded by a wall (right about in the center of the map - Safa Park). You have to pay to get in, and, well, you can't bring a bicycle inside.

I decided to sit there and mope.

Then I rode over the Jumeirah Beach Park, a public beach that costs 5 dirham, but which does allow you to bring your bike inside. It was nice, but i saw blue platic shopping bags in the water and went into a panic that they were jellyfish. The sun was so bright, people swim with their sunglasses on.
