I've always loved this particular species of lavender... perhaps it is because it is
so different from the garden variety that appears bundled and dried in local herb shops,
but I think a good deal of my fondness comes from my imagery of the little flowers as
heads with really wild hairs. This may come as a big surprise, but I've been known to
have a wild hair now and then and I've come to think of these little rebels in the back yard
as my silent co-conspirators.
