Gentleman TreyHe is a well-mannered gentleman is our Trey. The weather has been wet and miserable again today and Princess has been plunked down on these eggs for the whole time I have been watching. Suddenly she bolted to her feet and then to the front of the nestledge and out of camera range until I could pan her way, by which time she had bolted. I panned back to the chicks and there was Trey trying to tuck those big eggs under his little body. A quick look around and our little gentleman had brought lunch to his damp and dedicated mate. She grabbed the treat and headed across the street to a ledge out of the rain and wind to eat it undisturbed while Trey took over on the chicks-to-be. The birdie equivalent of bring pickles and ice cream to your pregnant wife and then being pregnant while she eats it!Apologies for the photo quality, couldn't get better at the angle and distance.
