On our way to Rose Lake, I noticed some crows in a tree with a hawk on the south side of US66, just east of Sara Rd. When we u-turned and Mary got a picture of them, we discovered the Red-Tailed Hawk had been feasting on a prairie dog from the town that is at that corner. The hawk didn't like our intrusion and flew off to the west with one or two crows in pursuit.
