Male Red-breasted Merganser off Prairie Dog Point
WD: Red-breasted Merganser male. Note the ragged crest, thin bill, white collar over reddish breast, two-tone white and gray side (gray is washed out by the exposure) and white windows on the shoulder. The bill and crest are marks that carry over into the female.
