I cut the other insulation board pieces after I had the tower in the yard and laid scrap plywood under the tower to (try to) keep grass out of the caulked edges while they dried. I did not have enough 1" insulation to cover all sides and was able to find only 3/4" insulation for the fourth side, so decided to turn that side to the north.
