We took some photos of our outdoor bathroom at Cerro Lodge while we were packing to leave.

That's our sink on the left and our hanging towel bar on the right, in front of our open-air bathroom garden; it had green netting with a thick hedge on the outside.

We had two queen-sized beds in our room.

After leaving Cerro Lodge, we drove past large fields of monoculture Oil Palms.

We stopped in San Isidro to look for birds in and around the fenced water treatment facility ponds.

Our next stop was Restaurante La Georgina, CARRETERA INTERAMERICANA SUR, km 95, Carr Interamericana, San José, Costa Rica

It was foggy and misting at this altitude.

The grounds were well-groomed and had a variety of bird-attracting plants.

After La Georgina's, we went up to the high elevation 'paramo' and caught a look at this Flame-throated Warbler.

From there, we drove on to our final destination of the day, Savegre Lodge, San Gerardo de Dota, Costa Rica, where we saw this male Flame-colored Tanager on the grounds.

At the end of our day we gathered in the lounge at Savegre Lodge to go over our birding checklists.

The Resplendent Quetzal is one of our target birds for this location. The lounge at Savegre Lodge had a stained glass image of the Resplendent Quetzal with changing colored lights behind it.
