We went with the Cayuga (NY) Birding Club to southwest Costa Rica for the first time. We flew into San José the first day and spent the night at Buena Vista Hotel in nearby Alajuela. Next day, we flew to Golfito on Golfo Dulce in a small propellor plane. We spent two days at Esquinas Rainforest Lodge near there, two days at the Organization for Tropical Studies Wilson/Las Cruces Biological Station, then three days at the Danta Corcovado Lodge in Rincón. On our next to last day, we took another small plane from Puerto Jimenez back to San Jose and spent our last night at Buena Vista Hotel again before flying out the next day.
