This bird which I located on Plum Island in Newbury Massachusetts is turning into a bit of a celebrity. One of 4 chicks from the 2005 brood in Manchester New Hampshire this year, he is one of the very few birds raised at this location which has been identified alive in the while once they have fledged the nest. Fortunately for me, as he raised his leg to scratch his head, the leg bands became perfectly visible and allowed for him to be identified!
