The focus seems soft, maybe you used a gaussian blur, but I think for this type of shot, you should at least have very sharp eyes. People notice the eyes first. And with that being said, the fact that the younger child's eyes aren't looking at the camera, kind of leaves the viewer disconnected with the image. I would reconcider this one.
