This woman was sitting and writing, writing, lost in thoughts.
She had so delicate face and so calm expression.
I don't know if she was homeless or not.

You use a frame within a frame here to abstract the woman, adding foreground layer to pull the viewer into the image. I often do the same thing, Chris -- seehttp://www.pbase.com/pnd1/image/46537233 In each case, the subject is abstracted by a foreground layer, forcing the viewer to use his or imagination to "see the rest."

great candid! love her expression and the framing. is it possible to catch a bit more street at the background? if so, the calm old lady lost in her world and a noisy street with busy people will create more intense contradiction.

Wow! I Like this one. Beautiful candid of a busy old woman. I wonder what is she writing then.

Brilliant framing. Wondered what she's writing, comfortable enough to take off her shoes :-) Well spotted.
