Terrific image. The message remains within the eyes, the mouth an the hands. The soul of the image is in there. Her expression makes me forget she is a child... She seems to say so much with her eyes... An image to remember.

How could I have missed this portrait, Chris? It is not just those huge eyes -- it is the fact that this child is not beautiful in the classical sense, yet it is one of most beautiful portraits I have ever seen. You illuminate her from the inside out -- the image has a presence about it that makes us feel as if we know her and she knows us. It is very intimate, not a inch of space has gone to waste, the orange sweater and flesh tones add enormous warmth. And then there is the moment you caught -- the expression on the face, the way she bears the weight of the world in her hands. I can't get this image out of my mind and probably never will. Congratulations, Chris.
