Images Spring 2007 (Paria Plateau, Northern AZ)

This might be the extent of images for the season as work is going to get really busy... This location is simply amazing. It contains vivid white "brain" or segmented rocks, sedimentary sand stone (typical Navaho Sandstone) and wild pockets of twisted geography. Cool place.

All in all a very delicious collection. I agree with your favorite "Brain" shot, and find that "Z last Brain" is a VERY close second, if not tied. i love the compositions of the shots and the colors....well, nature does paint a wonderful painting. Nice for you to have been there to capture it! Well done!

These are the best landscape images Ive ever seen. These must make incredible large prints. Canon should hire you to shoot their advertising, you blow away the people they use now.

Wonderful series, Steven!! You couldn't ask for better conditions (incredible skies!) and you've done your usual stunning job of capturing it. Beautiful use of "forceful foregrounds," leading lines, & color contrasts. Some of the best images I've seen yet from this area (WP, I'm guessing; or as Mr. Ladd calls it, Area 52!). How was the sand hill? How many others were out there?

Beautiful images. I attempted to hike Paria Canyon three years in a row, in October, but the weather did not cooperate. Brings back some good memories of good times in the desert. LKB
