When a Century plant blooms it dies and leaves its remains. In this case, I found the colors offered by the dead Century plant and new plant growing where it once stood to be stark. The rocks behind the plant are being lit by the last glow of sun before it drops below the horizon. This is a three image stitch with teh 45mm TS/E lens
