Coastal Ice

Northern California

Along the coast line are several flowers that hang to the sides of rocky cliffside. Their common name are ice plants or ice flowers or simply "ice". This is because they grow similar to how icicles (who knew it was one word?) grow off of your roof in the winter. OK not mine, I live in Phoenix Arizona, but for those of you that actually get winter.

This is taken right at sunset and notice the gloom and doom of the image. Trying to make the best of a bad situation light wise, I attempted to capture the cold and wind that was present at the time.
