This is the second half of one of my "John Kerry" moments where I can't decide which image I like better. I have a natural love for the 3:1 panorama but also enjoy a wonderfully detailed sky. In all, however, the light of this weekend was really bad with extensive haze in the air resulting in the overall flat look of this image.

There were several fires on the North Rim that were blowing smoke into the entire Canyon. These fires were both man started controlled burns and lightning strikes.
