This is a shot from Cedar Ridge in the grand Canyon off the South Kaibab Trail. It is a rather easy hike down and presents some of the best landscape options in the park IMO. The traffic on this trail is rather light (compared to the Bright Angle Highway) and most of the people on the trail are rather serious about the outdoors.

The light changes dramatically through out the day at Cedar Ridge, so it does not really mater when you get there. Plan to stay a few hours.
