Trixie Dog : Week 11

Chandler, AZ

Did you really think that you would get a season off without a picture of the Trixter? This is just after sunset on our nightly 2-3 mile walk this past summer. I sometime have to drag her out on these walks because of the heat but she always ends up having lots of fun.

Soon, it will be cool enough to start the hikes in the desert again:-)

The Husky half just causes the heat to stop here dead. Well dead tired anyway.

Even though we're in the Seattle area, it does get into the 90s on many days in the summer -- not enough that people have air conditioning, though, so in some ways it's even worse since there's no place to go to escape.

In spite of that, Maya is always excited and happy when we say that magic word "walk." She does tire out much more quickly in the summer and she's equally happy when we ask her if she's ready to go home.

That's a nice photo. I know the mood you're capturing exactly. Not sure what it is about the photo that does it, but I clearly got the sense of a post-walk evening. There's more to this one than it seems. Perhaps you need a dog and need those summer evenings cooling down in the field or the yard to recognize it.
