This little Burrowing Owl is from the Riparian Institute in Gilbert AZ. This area provides ample hunting space for about a dozen of these owls to live. There are rabbits, migratory birds and geckos to hunt.

Shot in the waning light of dusk, this shot with the 400mm f2.8L IS lens + 2X TC at 1/5 second. While not tack sharp it is plenty sharp for web use.
