Diamond Head

Hawaii

I was in Hawaii for a week to attend a friends wedding and what can I say about the light. It was not to good. However, while getting ready to go out and eat dinner one night, I saw this shot coming on. So I burst across to the hotel on the east end of Waikiki and shot up to the 14th floor to get this perspective just before sunset.

This panoramic is 7 X 2 images by 2 images for Dyanimc range. This makes a total of 28 images total for this one shot.

Canon EOS 1D ,Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM
This is a 7X2X2 image stitch. It employs two different exposures at each position to cover dynamic range issues. full exif

The cloud formation is fantastic in this shot... a very photogenic mountain too.

Panotools is, by far, the most flexible and powerful image stitcher on the market today. And with programs like PTMac and PTGui, it is also almost easy to use.

Hi Steve! Some great shots from Hawaii! I enjoyed looking at them very much. What program do you use to stitch the panorama together? Thanks for sharing! Chuck
