July 22, one cygnet remains. When we first approached, they were going to move ... but

As we unlocked the gate we saw 2 adult swans & the cygnet at the bridge. Our nieces wanted to run up to the house but as they got closer to the swans it was apparent that the family was not going to move out of the way. The swans were motioning with their necks (including the cygnet) so we cautioned the girls to stop and wait for us as we approached in the car. The swans were not going to move for the car. I got out of the car and took several photos ... they stood their ground. The girls got back into the car and we drove towards the swans. They slowly got into the creek on the west side of the bridge.
