US Open Tennis 2005

flushing meadow, NY

I was very unhappy with my photos from this year's open.
Most of them are quite soft. I am suspecting that this lens
is walking on its last legs. I wish I could find something
with the range of the 75-300 but with faster and more sophisticated
glass and mechanics

any ideas?

Why not get the 70-200 L lens f/2.8 IS and then add a 2x extender if you like?
