I had been asked about my setup and this seemed the easiest way to present the answer

I've been told that the autopoles really aren't meant for lights,
but with dog photography being a mainstay of my work, I needed
to find a way to position the lights so that an 100 pound labrador crashing into the stand, wouldn't cause it to topple
I've found the autopoles to be helpful in this regard though in other ways they can be a hindrance
But they are absolutely the best thing for hanging backdrop paper short of
any sort of ceiling mounted permanent fixtures
